Paadri mara – Yellow snake tree
Paadri mara (Stereospermum colais (Dillw.) Mabber) one of the native trees in Kodagu grows up to 25 m tall. It is a large straight stemmed decidous tree. The outer bark is rough and dark brown with irregular flakes. Flowers are yellow and fruits are in long pods.
