Nellakki Nadubade

The Nellakki Nadubaade occupies an important position in the traditional Kodava house.

It is regarded as the sacred central space of the ancestral home and is associated with the protection and continuity of the okka. Family ceremonies, ancestral rituals and important gatherings are traditionally conducted here.

Sacred objects such as lamps, bhasma kutt, gud and other family ritual objects may be preserved in or around this space.

Meedhi for ancestors are kept here.

Also, most of the important decisions are solemnised in this hall.
