Yede
Yede
Small portion of the cooked food that is offered to a deity or departed soul before eating one’s meal.
About
Yede is kept on the day of ‘Maadha’ or on the day of ‘Meedhi Beppo’. The person who stands for Kullik Nippo ritual will usually keep Yede. Yede is offered to crows for minimum of 3 days including the day of Maadha. It is believed that if the crows have consumed the food, then it is assumed that the food cooked on the day is pure.
