A collective effort to preserve our heritage is more than an act of memory — it is a bridge to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational, and economic legacy. These are not abstract ideas; they are the very foundations that define who we are as Kodavas.

With every contribution, our family tree has grown stronger — new branches extending outward, deeper roots anchoring it firmly in history. Each detail shared adds strength, continuity, and belonging.

KodavaClan today has nearly 23,000 Kodavas listed, mapping relationships that reveal how closely connected we truly are. These connections are not merely records — they are stories waiting to be shared with the next generation. Our rich traditions and lineage histories can become meaningful dinner-table conversations, inspiring pride and identity among our youth. For many, it is astonishing to discover lineages that trace back 17 generations.

The Kodava Clan Portal also features a dedicated Heritage section, containing an extensive repository of knowledge across nearly 5,000 pages — preserving our past so that our future remains rooted and strong.

The first of its kind Kodava desktop calendar was created for the Kodavas to follow the dates and festivals as per the traditional way keeping Edamyaar 1 as the New Year.

A complete encyclopedia with all data pertaining to Kodavas are documented here. Each section has lots of articles, interlinked to each other, making the chain of information an enriching experience to the user. It currently has close to around a 1000 articles and continue to add more each day.

Essay competition conducted in association Kodava Samaja Youth Council, Bangalore 

Kodava Thakk Padipo

Kodava Clan in partnership with Kodava Koota  is happy to launch an online teaching program ‘Kodava Thakk Padipo‘.

The objective is to teach ‘spoken’ Kodava Thakk to our children living anywhere in the world. Besides having online classes, we will build reusable teaching modules that can be leveraged by our future generation.
