Povvali mara – Ceylon teak
Povvali (Cassine glauca) one of the native trees in kodagu is an evergreen tree planted as avenue trees. During summer, in the forest when all trees have wilted, the leaves of Cassine glauca will be still dark green. Cultivated as an ornamental tree in gardens because of the dark green foliage.
