Yechimara

Yeechi pann (Aporosa lindleyana) one of the native trees in kodagu is an evergreen tree growing up to 15 m. tall. Leaves are simple up to 15 cm long, 6 cm broad,the fruit is  edible and is common in Ghats in wet deciduous or semi-evergreen forests.

Uses

For conservation of moisture in coffee plantation. Fruits are edible. Root decoction is used to treat excessive thirst and fever. Wood is used in construction work and for rafters.
