Joined the State Bank group as a probationary officer in 1979. Retired after 33+ years’ service including a two year deputation to IDRBT, the RBI IT think tank.

At present, consultant for Tecways, Munich, Weytech Zurich and several Mumbai based IT Companies. Also Independent Director with Tickerplant Ltd.

Teach MBA (Finance and IT stream) in spare time.

Fields of expertise:

Banking, International Finance, Payment systems, Treasury – both trading floor automation and trading software development & implementation, Information security, Messaging standards, Risk Management (Market, Liquidity and IT operation risks), Financial Inclusion, IT software development and data centre projects.
