Pandhi Curry – Pork
Pandhi curry is an exotic and aromatic dish that forms an integral part of the Kodagu cuisine.
Ingredients:
- Pork- 1kg
- Onions- 2
- Green chillies-10
- Ginger-1inch
- Garlic- 10 cloves
- Chilli powder-1 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Kartha Masala (Dry roast Masala)
- Kachampuli as required
Method:
Marinate the pork with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt for half an hour.
Grind the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic coarsely in a mixer or you can crush them with a grinding stone.
Heat a little water in the vessel and when the water starts boiling add the ground onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Let it boil for a few minutes and then add the marinated pork.
After the pork is cooked add the kartha masala and let it cook for 2 minutes.
Finally add the kachimpuli and cook for few seconds and the pandhi curry is ready to eat.

Pandhi curry is beat eaten with kadambutt, Paaputt, otti etc etc…
