Mahagany

Mahagany (Swietenia mahogani (L.) Jacq.)one of the native trees in Kodagu grows up to 25 m tall. It is a medium sized tree having a uniformly spreading crown and a butressed base. The bark is greyish in colour. Flowers are greenish white and fruits are dark brown in colour.
