Kotebetta

Kotebetta is the third highest peak in Kodagu after Thadiyandamol and Pushpagiri. Kotebetta means “Fort hill” because of its fort like appearance. It stands tall at about 1620m above sea level. It is located on the border of Kodagu-Dakshina Kannada districts, at a distance of 33kms from Madikeri. There is a Shiva temple at the base of this peak.

The hill is known for trekking among enthusiasts and attracts tourists for the same.
