Garike mara – Liliac neem
Garike mara (Meliaazadiracta L.) one of the native trees in Kodagu is a medium sized deciduous trees which grows up to 16 m tall. Bark is smooth and greenish brown when young and turns grey and fissured with age.It is typically grown in tropical and semi-tropical regions.

Uses
Leaves are rich source of nutrients and hence used for feeding cattle. Wood is used to manufacture agricultural implements, furniture, plywood, boxes, poles, tool handles.
