Education

• He had his early education at the central high school, Madikeri and the Field Marshal Cariappa College, Madikeri. He joined the Indian military academy, Dehradun, and passed out as an officer and joined in an infantry regiment.

 Achievements

• He actively took part in two major wars – in 1965 at Lahore sector and in 1971 at Dacca sector in front line against Pakistan.
• He started a security agency by name ‘Mac security services (p) ltd’ which is now one of the largest Security Organizations, giving employment opportunity to thousands of unemployed youths of the country and ex-servicemen.

 Awards

• He was awarded the commendation medal by chief of army staff for his meritorious services.
• He was felicitated with the “RASHTRIYA GAURAV AWARD 1994”.
• He is the recipient of “THE PRIDE OF INDIA AWARD 2002” for individual achievements and distinguished service to the nation.
