- B.E. – College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras, India.
- Post Graduate Course – Jamshedpur, Technical Institute, India.
Career
He served in the army during World War II and rose to the rank of Captain.
He joined the Damodar Valley Corporation which was to build a series of four dams, and power stations to supply Hydroelectric Power to Bengal and Orissa.
He worked as the President of National Radio and Electronics Company, Chemical Terminal Trombay Company, Yashmun Engineering Company, Relay selection Committee and Indian Standard institute.
He also served as the Managing Director of Tata Hydro Electric power supply company, Andhra Valley Power Supply Company and Tata Power Company.
He worked as the Director of Tata Industries Company and Electro International Company. Being the Executive member of Tata consulting engineers, Tata Dilworth, and Cicada Mighur Organization.
He was also the Member of Board of Consultants (Power), Dhamodhara Valley Corporation, Panel of Consultants of water and power development consultancy Services Company.
He was responsible for introducing modern methods of power control and transmission and for minimising power losses.
He also served on the central Technical Power Board.
He was a Director, Vice Chairman and Chairman of many professional bodies and Technical Committees.
He was the head of the Tata-Singapore International Airport Authority which planned to construct the International Airport in Bangalore.
