The Bachettira Okka <\/a>was original from Begur. It is said that the King asked them to re locate in Kadanga Murur and Kuklur so that they can protect the border of his Kingdom from Kerala.<\/p>\n

Intermarriage<\/a><\/h3>\n

For some reasons, the Paleyagaras burnt the thatched ainmane of Bachettira Okka<\/a> which was in Kadanga Murur. Everyone was killed in this incident except one ajja who had gone for hunting. To take revenge, this ajja killed 8 of the Nayaka\u2019s Okka<\/a>, but later he was killed in the encounter. Only one girl from the Okka<\/a> who was married to Iychettira<\/a> Okka<\/a> came back to her son and started this Okka<\/a> again. Hence there is no intermarriage<\/a> between Bachettira and Iychettira<\/a> Okkas<\/a>.<\/p>\n
