About the Okka<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n

Appaneravanda<\/a> is one of the well-known okka<\/a> among Kodava community who are basically from Kirndad. When the Tipu\u2019s army captured the people in this area only three persons from the village survived i.e, Appaneravanda<\/a>, Chottanda<\/a> and Badumanda<\/a> Okka.  Appaneravanda<\/a> Achaiah was one among the three leaders who helped Dodda Veeraraja and his family to escape from the prison and bring them back to Kodagu<\/a>.<\/p>\n
