Medappa was a strong and dedicated leader who was an inspiration to many.<\/p>\n<h2>Family<\/h2>\n<h3>Wife<\/h3>\n<p>Theethimada (Vaterira) Chondamma<\/p>\n<h3>Son<\/h3>\n<p>Theethimada Kaverappa<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Family tree<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kodavaclan.co\/otherclan\/10666\">kodavaclan.co<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Achievements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>He was the president of Panchayat board for 27 years from 1957-1987<\/li>\n<li>Was the founder president of Kuttandi High school in 1961 and served as the President of the school until a week before he died.<\/li>\n<li>Before the year 1940 he was the founder president of Kannangala primary school<\/li>\n<li>In 1940&nbsp; V Badaga School was shut by the government due to lack of funds and then M &amp; Mrs Medappa started a charitable school at their home for 6 months and taught children. Six months later the school was reopened by the government after noticing Mr Medappa\u2019s hard work and dedication.<\/li>\n<li>He was the founder of V Badaga Primary school, Badaga co-operative society and Badaga grameena Bank which is now called as Chamundi Devara fund. Co-operative society is now merged into co-operation Bank.<\/li>\n<li>The Rudragupee river bridge which connects Balarimaad and Kootnad to Virajpet was constructed in the year 1950 by Mr K Medappa. In 1957 kundapole bridge was connected to Rudragupee Bridge which was also constructed by Mr Medappa.<\/li>\n<li>The bridge which was designed and constructed by him cost him Rs3000 in which Rs2000 was paid by the Government.
