Pathaaya refers to a room like enclosure made with wooden planks to store paddy<\/a>. This is usually built in or near a house\/ainmane<\/a>.<\/p>\n

About<\/h3>\n

They are usually built above the ground to keep the stored food away from Rodents and other animals<\/a>. The grains are spread in thin layers on the ground and allowed to aerate thoroughly.
