Oork oru Maadeva, Kerik oru Aiyappa, vodek oru naatha, Vonik oru Poodha, Vokkak oru guru Karona pinja Kuliya  are the typical guardians of the kodava tribes.

These Spirits entering the body of human beings in Kodagu is a common phenomena and they generate complete positive energy. these Spirits which guide the fellow tribal men are invited by the people to take right guidance periodically.

The activity is called thirola bappo !!

Almost every Village has its own STHANA location identified for the place where the spirits are invited. Usually these locations are now merged with the local bagavathi or aiyappa temples. earlier days it would be a tree which could accommodate these deity and guide the tribesmen.
