Talakaveri
Talakaveri is the holy place where goddess Kaveri is worshipped and is located near Bhagamandala in Kodagu District in the Western Ghats.

This place is located about 44 km from Madikeri and is about 1276 metres above sea level. The place is believed to be the origin of Goddess Kavery and is the main worship place for Kodavas. The water inside the kundike which is the origin of River Kavery, springs up every year in the month of Tholiyar. Lot of pilgrims visit this place and take a holy dip in the large tank which is near kundike. It is believed that this water has unbelievable powers. There are 2 temples nearby, one is Lord Agasthiswara and another one is Maha Ganapathi.
The river flows through south east i.e through Karnataka, Tamilnadu, and Kerala and joins Bay of Bengal.
