Sons of Kodagu who served the nation at the peril of their lives

Sons of Kodagu who served the nation at the peril of their lives,
we remember with unshakable pride the countless Kodava warriors who fell in distant valleys and frozen frontiers, who embraced duty above fear, and whose names, though spoken softly in our homes, thunder eternally through the history of our land.

Kodavas who marched into battles from the fields of Europe in World War I and II, to the rugged frontiers of Jammu-Kashmir, to distant lands under UN flags, to every battlefield fought in the name of peace and national unity — we remember the Kodava warriors we lost in duty, whose names may remain unlisted but whose sacrifice remains engraved in the hills, in our hearts, in our silence.
