Rajyotsava Awards
Instituted in 1966, the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award recognizes the exemplary contributions of Karnataka citizens, particularly Kodavas, in diverse fields like social work, sports, folklore, literature, music, architecture, and media. Since 1968, several Kodavas have been honored for their significant achievements. The award ceremony takes place annually on November 1st in Bangalore, where the Chief Minister of Karnataka presents recipients with a prestigious citation and a gold medal, acknowledging their outstanding accomplishments. This distinguished accolade serves as a testament to the rich and varied talents within the Kodava community, fostering a spirit of excellence and societal contribution.
