Pattada Bopanna
Pattada Bopanna from Kodagu was born on Februry 9th 1977. He is the representative of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) in Bangalore. The International Game Fish Association is a non-profit organization committed to the conservation of game fish and the promotion of responsible, ethical angling practices through science, education, rule making and record keeping.He is actively involved in mahseer conservation and is the founder of India’s first public forum on sport fishing, Indian Angler He is a professional bird guide and photographer.
Education
- He did his engineering from the Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in Bangalore.
Career
- After completing his engineering in 1999, Bopanna worked for Wipro Technologies as an embedded systems programmer and network engineer.
- In 2006 he moved to Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc. where he was responsible for the IT support department in their Bangalore office, Digicaptions India Pvt Ltd.
Achievements
- Bopanna is the editor of India’s first and largest public forum on sport fishing called Indian Angler. This forum enables anglers from across the country to get in touch with other anglers and learn new fishing techniques and visit new locations.
- He is the proprietor of India Birding Adventures and leads birding tours around India. He works on project involving development of drones for conservation
