Paleyanda K. Kushalappa

Paleyanda K. Kushalappa an eminent lawyer hailed from Nalkeri Village of Virajpet Taluk was a leading senior member of Virajpet Bar Association and was a Well known name in Kodagu. He had his education in Coorg, Mangalore, at St. Joseph’s College, Trichy and obtained his Law degree from Bombay. He Joined the legal profession in 1924 and made his mark as a reputed civil lawyer.

He was the Founder President of Virajpet Bar Association from 1962 till his death on 20-01-1964. He demise was sudden when he was still in active practice. He has left behind three sons and two daughters.

His library has been donated to our Association by his family members and the Bar Association grateful to them. His portrait finds a place in the Bar Association which was uneiled by Sri. K. V. Giri, the then President of Mercara Bar Association on 20.01.1965.
