Palecanda Medappa
Medappa, born in 1893, to Palecanda family was a very bright student; was well recognized in several fields like studies, Sports, debate, etc., He obtained his degree from Madras Law College.
He was one of the greatest players who not only played for Madras Presidency Cricket team but was also an excellent wicket keeper during the time.
After getting through the law exams, he got trained under Mr. Nujent and Justice Lakshman Rao, who were famous lawyers during those days.

- 1922 – Became Lawyer in Madikeri.
- 1929 – Appointed as the Sub Judge
- 1933 – Appointed as Bangalore Cantonment District Session Judge
- 1944 – Mysore High court Judge
- 1948 – Served as the Chief Justice of the state

Served for the growth and development of –

- Bangalore Kodava Samaja
When there was a movement of joining Kodagu to Madras Territory, he stood against it and provided witness for Simon Commission.
Medappa passed away in 1968.
