About

Nere Kattuvo ritual is carried out inside the kitchen and is performed by married women.

Ritual

Kummi Leaf, Gekke leaf, Aal / Chittal leaf and Yenjoli Kodi are tied with Achhi naar.

A mat is spread inside the kitchen and on top of it-

Mukkali bolcha, puthari pachhe nelle, panile nelle, moodele nelle, manathle akki, puthari kudukele thambutt podi, kaipake kuri, is kept on top of each other.

Near this, pundathra kuthhi, inside this koyi kathira pudi, 7 kall para, ghee, honey, ginger, sesame seeds, puthari kalnji are kept; inside this little milk is poured.

In front of above items gun is placed and sandalwood paste is applied to gun and kathi.
