Service

He actively participated in the Second World War. He fought against the Japanese in Java and Malacca. He was decorated with the “Mentioned in the Despatches” award for exemplary dedication and devotion to duty. After cease fire, he returned to government service as a civil surgeon in Mercara Hospital in Coorg, which was a union territory at that point of time.
