Mandira Vivec Chengappa from Nelji, Kodagu was born and brought up in Bangalore. He is known for his excellence in public service. His involvement and proactive policing and engaging the public to learn their concerns succeeded in solving and preventing crime and disorder. His father was a doctor, scientist & entrepreneur. He was a Gold medallist and his mother was a poet, Thribasha Sahithi & author of magnum opus: Kodava Jayabharatha. She was the recipient of Athimabbe, Rajyotsava and Basha Sanmaan awards for literature.

- Did his schooling in JSS
- Graduated from Vijaya College, Bangalore
Career
- He was involved in assisting the family run Agro chemicals business, Micromin Agro industries which was established in 1981. Post his college studies he continued to work for his father.
- Later he started his own organic plant nutrients industry named Mac Agro industries in 2002, manufacturing wetting agents, spreaders and organic Foliar Fertilisers.
- He innovated a cost effective eco-friendly wetting agent (agricultural gum) named “Microbond-AG”
- It was one of the most affordable products to be sold through “Kodagu district federation societies”
Achievements
- In 2014 he was selected as “Community Policing” convener for handling crime prevention programmes for “Bangalore city police”
- In 2016 he was recognised by lions club for “excellence in public service”
- In 2017 he was recognised by the Government of India with “crime control force” award ILFAA (international love for all associations, Japan).
- In 2018 he received the Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF).
- In 2018 he received the “Rajiv Gandhi Achievement” on august 20th Ektha Diwas at constitution club of India New Delhi. National award conferred for the crime prevention awareness programmes conducted for the last 4years through Bangalore city police for DCP south east division.

- Drug addiction
- Government schools drop-out students “Marali Shalege” at Mico layout police station.
- Good touch and bad touch awareness for school children
- Awareness on cyber crime and ATM frauds, chit frauds etc.. under economical offences.

- He received the Rajiv Gandhi National Achievement award in New Delhi, 2018 for Crime prevention.
