When the English army reached to Srirangapatna through Coorg in 1799, the Raja collected a huge quantity of rice, thousands of bullocks, sheep etc and supplied to British. He had done it once before 1792 but this time the total amount of his supply exceeded 40,000 butties of rice, 3500 Bullocks, 2500 sheep, many elephants, men for service etc. While the English army encamped at Watekolli, Virajpet, Siddapur and Gaddige. The man who organized the entire collection business was Subedar Ketolira Achanna who did a splendid service.
