Kenjurp / Kenjirp

Kenjurp is referred to big ants with burning sting normally found in the coffee estates. These ants range in colour from red- brown to black and grow up to ¼ inch in length. They build nests for about 1 foot high; usually in grassy areas. Fire ants become very hostile when their nest is disturbed and then sting repeatedly on the intruder. Fire ants kill and eat other insects like regular ants, crops, etc., The portion of the skin bit by these ants become skin become swollen and develops a blister on top, they itch and lasts up to a week.
