Chendanda Nikkin Thimmaiah, a famous Kodava sportsperson was born on 18 January 1991 in Kodagu. A professional Indian field Hockey player who plays at the forward position. He is a talented sportsman that he also shined in athletics. He even won silver medal in Open National Athletics championship.

Before he started as a hockey player he was an athlete who had won 400 meters junior Open Nationals. His father Mr Aiyanna was the former ASC player. Thimmaiah who plays as a forward was named in the Indian squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Nikkin Thimmaiah, a product of SAI, Bangalore Played in the Rio Olympics after he proved his class in the Hockey Champions Trophy. He also figured in the 2014 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
