Bopanna B. Ballachanda
Internationally known for his publications (Books, chapters, and articles) in scientific and professional journals, Dr. Bopanna Ballachanda taught at Purdue University and the University of New Mexico before joining Texas Tech and the University of Texas at Austin as Adjunct faculty. The founder of Premier Hearing Centers in the southwest United States, Dr. Ballachanda, holds a doctoral degree in auditory neurophysiology from the University of Texas-Dallas, and memberships in many professional and scientific societies.

Entrepreneur
With the help of his wife, Naina who is a CPA he opened his first clinic in July of 2003 in Santa Fe, NM. Another 7 years later they had the opportunity to purchase a group of clinics in Arizona and Texas, They owned 16 clinics in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas; he and his wife owned and ran the clinics together.
In 2014 he sold all his clinics and ventured into entrepreneurship. He felt the need to serve the audiology community and opted to be on the ballot for the board of directors of the American Academy of Audiology and currently one of the board of directors of the Academy (Second time). The intent to be on the board was mainly to understand the current issues in audiology and lay a foundation for better future for audiologists. He is currently running for the President Elect to be a leader who can change the current landscape of audiology and a betterment for our collective future, he says. In addition to his speaking and consulting engagements he is a co-owner of indoor football team called Duke City Gladiators in Albuquerque, co-owner of a Hotel in Albuquerque, and a restaurant in Albuquerque, called Safari Grill.
