Passion

Miss Suman Seethamma’s journey towards Writing started in the year 2013 when she was studying her 1st year degree.  She is a booklover, and she credits her reading as a key to their success. Love for Books and language from her childhood inspired to choose her career as a teacher and a poet. When we read her writing, we u can sense her passion behind. Her words change to a beautiful Phase and delights by crafting a beautiful poems where we get to absorb a lot.. Apart from Articles and stories she also writes poems and publishes in various platform like newspaper, magazine and social media which attracts many readers and followers towards her for her style of writing

Her first article “Aathmahathye Pariharavalla” articulating farmers suicide was published in Shakthi Newspaper which articulated struggle of a farmer in the year 2013.  Till now she have written 10 plus articles and published in various newspapers like Brahmagiri, Poomale  and shakthi.

 First   Kodava story was published in  Brahmagiri Newspaper in the year 2013.

Published her poems in Ponguri, a kodava sahithya academy magazine.

Published her article in “DASARA KAVIGOSTI” in the year 2019.

She has written more than 200 poem in Kodava language and 50 plus poems in Kannada.

She have Written Haayku(a Japanese  type of poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world) in Kannada language

She has stepped ahead and started  writing  Gazalas which received a great response.

She has written around 10 Mukthaka- which is a different category of Poems in Kannada.

She also has published her articles in Prathilipi too.

Achievements:

• Secured First place in second PUC for Kodagu district in the year 2014
• Honored by then Home Minister K George during Independence day celebration for securing 1^st Rank for Kodagu.
• Stood first  in “Sirigannada Talent exam” by securing highest marks in Taluk Level  as well as District level  in the year 2012-2013.
• “Ranna” Award Winner in the year 2014  for  securing highest marks in Kannada Subject.
• Gold Medal for securing top marks in Kannada Optional subject in the year 2017.
• Awarded “Kodagina Gowramma” for securing the highest marks in Kannada optional subject in the 2017.
• Also, she was topper for the college for 3 consecutive years during her graduation.
• In the year 2020(July), She stood first for the  district  in online  competition in Kannada Kavana  among the 100 plus poets.
• First runner up in “Kodavammera Kondata “among 80 plus poets which was help  in July 2020.
• She has received various certificates and accolades for participating in many online competition during COVID -19 pandemic situation.
