Journalist, Vicky Nanjappa born in Madikeri, Kodagu on July 08 1976 has covered legal and internal security extensively.
Nanjappa studied at the prestigious Rishi Valley School following which he studied at Kodagu Vidyalaya, Madikeri and St. Aloysius College in Mangalore.
Baduvanda Vicky Nanjappa also known as Vikash Nanjappa was the first journalist in India to take a narco-analysis test, which was quoted by Padma Bhushan P Chandra Sekharan, the lead forensic investigator in the Rajiv Gandhi murder case in his book The First Human Bomb. Vicky Nanjappa also covered internal security affairs extensively for rediff.com and was the first to interview Faiza Outalha, the wife of David Headley, who had carried out a reconnaissance for the Lashkar-e-Tayiba, the outfit that carried out the Mumbai 26/11 attack. Vicky Nanjappa, whose Jamma roots are from Murnad, Kodagu is married to Rupali Nanjappa and owes everything he has been able to achieve to his mother Rina Kushalappa.
