Baduvanda.K.Belliappa

Baduvanda.K.Belliappa was born in Kodagu. He was the first Kodava to receive the Rajyotsava award for his achievement in agricultural field. He was self made scientist who achieved this award for his research in special paddy named B.K.B-1234. He was probably one of  the first Kodava to own a.22 rifle as early as 1930.
