Features
A well maintained, 6 roomed ainmane of Buttianda Okka is of the type “Mund mane”. The veranda has – 2 sets of Ubba on either side, three doors in which two of them leads to hall and another to Pathaya, window with carvings of bird in a circle around the thombe Kann, pillars with beautiful carvings on the capitols, etc., The first door to the hall has carvings of Gajalakshmi and musicians; the second door has carvings of Bhadrakaali’s face with elephant headed birds on either side and door to the North has carvings of tree and cow. Solid wooden paneled wall can be found between the verandah and the hall. Kanni Kombare has got one window and a wooden Shelf.
Timeline
- About 200 years. (The year 1806 is inscribed on the stone steps)
- The roof was tiled when it was built and was retiled about 2 years ago. Except Kanni kombare, all the rooms were cemented about 10 years ago.
