Mutharchi Mara -Parrot tree

Mutharchi Mara (Butea Monosperma(Lam.) Taub.) one of the native trees in Kodagu a medium-sized, deciduous tree which grows  up to 15 m tall. Bark  is thick, fibrous, wounds with gum.The flowers are  long, bright orange-red.
