He worked with Ar.Padalkar for a few years before joining renowned Architectural firm Chandavarkar and Thacker. In C&T he worked under Ar.Sanjay Mohe whom he regards as his Guru in Architecture.

Currently he is a partner at Mindspace which is one of the leading firms in the field of architecture known for their quality of work. He has a good amount of experience working in various kinds of projects including Institutional, Research labs, science museum to large scale residential projects.

About

Childhood  memories of Coorg, its culture and nature  has an influence in the Architectural work of Medappa.  He believes in architecture that facilitates living in oneness with each other and with nature. Importance is given to creating spaces that encourage mutual interaction and  integrating nature into the design.  He believes that design is a language binding creativity and context. Emphasis is given to bringing is ample daylight and ventilation in the built environment enhancing the quality of daily life of the occupants. His architecture reflects his simplicity, responding to the climate, rooted to the local culture, contemporary with a global resonance.

Projects

Some of the important projects Medappa has worked include Hostels and faculty husing at IIM, Bangalore, Research Labs at JNCASR and NCBS, Large scale housing projects for Rohan Builders and extension to Karunashraya(Hospice), Bangalore. He has won several national level awards and his work has been published in many magazines and journals.

• JK Cements commendation award 2008 under Public Building category.
• JK Cements commendation award 2010 under Group Housing category.
